Slow but steady recovery (I hope)

Last Night playing Play-Doh

Lilly has been doing well. She played hard yesterday and this morning. She even had her friend Ella over for a playdate this morning. I allowed her to have a bit more then I was comfortable with for lunch and her belly got pretty bloated and she had to have a few moans and said her belly hurt. I think I will try cutting back on her portions a little bit more. It's just hard to tell her no when she is hungry and wants more food. I think she gets it though when I tell her she has to really watch or else she may have to go back to the hospital. I will see how she is doing after nap time. I think if her tummy is still big and hurts her I will let Dr. Judge know. Keep praying! Oh and thanks grandma Bollenbacher for all the bland food ideas!!!

WE ARE HOME!!!

Dr. Judge came to see Lillian this morning and we told him the news that we allowed Lillian to have 1/2 of a pancake and a few saltine crackers last night. I told him how she tolerated it pretty well only got a slight bloated belly, but didn't complain too much. She had a good poopy this morning (GOOD NEWS) -sorry more BM talk! He said he is still convinced she had a bit of an illius and it's just taking this long to get moving again. We are at home trying small bland meals and fluids. I'm running out of bland food ideas if anyone has any ideas let me know. She is getting tired of the toast, crackers thing, since we have been doing that for 10 days!! This morning she had another 1/2 pancake and for lunch 1/2 piece of french toast. Seems to be doing good so far. Not complaining about belly ache anyway. She is very excited to be home, hasn't stopped playing with her barbies, princess dolls, or baby dolls yet! Her arm where her IV was is a bit sore, Dr. Judge thought maybe a little irritation from it. I gave her some Tylenol and that seemed to help. wheeeewww..its been a long haul. I CANNOT imagine having a sick child all the time. I really feel for the parents that spend many months in hospitals! Lilly is an on the go kinda child and you put her in a little hospital room and she kinda goes stir crazy (don't blame her)

Addison was glad mommy and Lilly where home, the girls are back to fighting over toys, but I don't care cause its good to hear that!!

Anyway, thought I'd let everyone know how we were doing. Nap time will be a bit early today and I think I will join!!

Lillian Update

Playdo snow man

Well Lets see, where do I start? I took Lillian to Dr. Judges office cause she was still getting sick and diahhrea. It seemed that she would be fine all morning and around noon and then after her naps she would start feeling sick and vomit. When I took her to Judges office she was miserable. Her belly was HUGE and she was so nauseated. It was horrible to see her in so much pain. He thought maybe she may have an illius where food/liquid wasn't getting all the way through every time she ate. Anyway he wanted to admit her and give her belly rest and IV fluids since this had been going on for so long. We did an x-ray it showed a lot of gas in her belly (probably what all the pain was from) and they said "constipation" I told Judge there was no way she was consitpated cause she has had massive diarrhea episodes. She had a good BM today (not constipation like at all) p.s. sorry about so much BM talk on the blog!! Anyway she has had a pretty good day. Her spirits are a bit down she really wants to be home. After many hours of crying and begging to eat, the nurse gave her 1/2 of a pancake tonight and a few crackers. So far so good!! She was so happy to get to eat! I was happy she got to eat!! I hope sleeping tonight goes good and maybe we can go home tomorrow. We could use some prayers.

Mending

I thought we were over this Flu bug yesterday, but I was wrong. Lillian is having a very hard time kicking this virus. She was fine all day yesterday until about 4:30 she decided to vomit again, have a belly ache and diarrhea again! 1 week exactly of vomiting. Saturday I had enough and had Eventt bring her to the hospital (I was working thank goodness). Sheba (bless her heart) started an IV on Lillian and gave her some fluids. Its a good thing cause she was getting pretty dehydrated. I thought that would perk her up right away, but it didn't. We will see how today goes, but I really think she is on the road to recovery cause she only vomited once yesterday and kept a lot of liquid and food down before that.

Addison is much better almost back to her old self except for these leg cramps she keeps getting. Not sure what they are about but sometimes she won't even walk on her legs.

Thankfully I think I am over this nasty bug, but Eventt started with it last Saturday and is still having diarrhea and tiredness.

May decide to take them to a Dr. appt. today if Lilly vomits again or if Addison's legs don't get better. It mostly frustrating that it has lasted sooooooo..... long!!

Good news is since Lillian hasn't been peeing much she makes it to the toilet in time and has been doing GREAT with potty training.

Sick House

The Norris House is a sick house!! Lillian started with Vomiting Monday night. Last night I was sure she was over it she even stopped having diarrhea and had a normal BM. SO, since I promised her a cookie she could dip in milk when her tummy was all better I let her have just one. Sure enough 1/2 hour later the vomiting started again. Addison started with the vomiting Tuesday night. She is mostly just really clingy I can't put her down for anything. I bet her diarrhea will start today (at least that is how Lillian's progressed). Eventt has been spared so far, but I on the other hand have a horrible stomach ache, can't eat anything and have had a headache and body aches like crazy!! Needless to say it has been a boring miserable past few days. Both girls slept all night last night (thank goodness cause I really needed a good night of sleep) This morning Lilly still has a headache and Addison doesn't want anything to eat. Hopefully soon we will be on the mend.

Eventt went live with his new computer system yesterday. It seemed to go good so far. It came at a bad time when we all have the flu, but we couldn't help that. He has had to be at the hardware at ton getting ready for it. But when he is home I am so glad to be off sick kid duty for a bit. He is so helpful!!!

Anyway, gonna see if I can get a little house work done.

Dance class

Here are some pics of Lillian's Tap and Tumble class she is in on Thursday afternoon. She is getting better at listening to the teacher but mostly her and Ella hug on each other or pick on each other. I think they enjoy it. They are currently practicing for a little recital they will perform in May. It should be interesting.
Potty update: she is doing it all by herself again. She gets 2 stickers for that and getting real close to earning her Ariel snow globe.

It is still snowing

Holy snow!! My pectoral muscles hurt from shoveling the drive way! Maybe we should have paid the $100 to have it plowed all winter. It would have paid off this winter. Anyway, Addie went down for an early nap and Lilly came out to help me shovel ( or at least jump in my piles). It's pretty cold outside only about 12 degrees and probably colder with the windshield. Lilly only stayed out about 10 minutes, then came in to watch the rest of Lion King. We made a new potty chart this morning. She is super excited about this one though, because if she fills it she gets a Ariel snow globe. We looked at them online last night and she cannot wait. So far today she has been dry and excited about going potty. Hopefully the excitement stays and we can get this thing conquered. Tonight Eventt arranged for a sitter to come over so we can get some adult time. I think we may go eat wings (Wing Wednesday) and look for a new couch for the living room. It will be nice to get away for awhile. Hopefully the roads are not too bad.
Lillian mentioned today that she misses going to Grandma B's house and playing with all the toys there. HINT maybe Grandma B should have the girls over sometime. Well enough for now sorry to pics to go with this one. I'm sure there will be some soon :)
